Spring Fever!

So Teagan, Dax and I are stir crazy. We are in desperate need of summer weather. The warm sunshine, pools, and walks to the park! But we decided to settle for summer clothes. Our first project is to sew summer clothes for the kids! So today I made a skirt and hair bow! It took three hours with my 18 month old awake for half of it so I think it went well. The skirt is fully lined so she can wear it without leggings under it. It turned out pretty cute, or maybe Teagan made it pretty cute!

Finding a Project...

I have been sitting around all winter wishing spring was here. Feeling blue and maybe a little sorry for myself. Then yesterday I had this wonderful idea, I'll become crafty!!! Hooray! Great Idea! So let me explain, I do things, I do things like texture walls, paint, replace molding, these are fun things, and they are good things. But these things are hard to do in my small house in the winter. So I had this great idea to do things in the house like finally make that strawberry jam, sew summer clothes for my babies, or paint my picture frames different colors. Then I thought what if I transform my family blog that I never use into a journal blog for my projects, brilliant!!! I know, right? So there you go, and here we are. Next I'll be finding a suitable project, wish me luck!

Catching up...

So it's been a long time since I took time to post the events at our house. I had a birthday and turned 27, Adam got me a new camera and I love it! Daxon turned one and we had a birthday party for him. He is growing up so fast, it makes me sad how fast babies become toddlers, who then become kids...my little princess is turning four this year and she is so busy. Adam got Teagan and Dax a puppy, and Teagan named her Missy. She's super cute, but a handful as well! We've been remodeling, and removing things, we've planted some of our garden. The pictures probably won't be in order but they'll be fun to look at anyway!

It's been a long time since I last posted, and since I had time to check on everyone elses posts, hope you are all well!!! If anyone from DRMC is reading this I miss you guys so much...I never realized how much all of you felt like part of my family until we left. We've been gone from "home" for a long time and as time passes the more I realize DRMC will always be my home hospital!
That being said...these are our new family pictures that my sister Codie took. They turned out super cute!!! Thanks Codie, you do such a great job!!!

Welcome Baby Dax!!!

On May 15, 2009 at 12:45pm we welcomed our son Daxon Ben Ford into the world. He was 8.5 lbs and 21.25 inches long. His labor story isn't what we had planned but we are very grateful that he is here and healthy. He was almost two weeks over due so I was being monitored every three days to make sure he was ok. I went in for a check up and he had turned and was breech, but I had plenty of fluid so we were hopeful that he would turn again. We tried external version, were the Doctor trys to turn the baby from the outside but it was unsuccessful. Two days later I started have contractions every 6 minutes they were painful but I had an appointment the next morning (5/15) to have my fluid levels checked so I decided to wait as long as I could. I made it to my appointment still have contractions. They checked my fluid and it was less than half what was supposed to be there. So I was in labor with low fluid levels and a breech baby. Not an ideal situation for natural child birth. An hour later we were in the OR having a C-section. Daxon is very healthy and so cute. When he was first born his little face was very swollen from being smashed up against a contracting uterus, but now he looks almost identical to Teagan! Teagan is crazy about her baby! she loves to hold him.

When???

My favorite question to ask Teagan for the last 2 weeks has been: "when is baby brother going to come out?" her replys varied from tonight, to tomorrow, to I don't know. She would always pull up my shirt and say in a really sweet voice "come out baby." I asked her today when baby brother was going to come out and she said "never," she pulled up my shirt and patted my stomach, shook her head and said "never." Hopefully she is wrong, but I know exactly how she feels. I'm starting to feel like he is never going to come either....
