Catching Up!!

Well we have officially moved in. I did most of the unpacking because Adam was in Las Vegas at a New York Life training. Corrie came up and helped one night, (thanks so much!) and of course Teagan was tons of help! But we finally finished, and now everything seems to be cluttered. After living in an empty house and now having stuff it seems messy all the time. We bought a couch and a chair. We finished painting the downstairs, and now I'm working on decorating, and I'm not very good at it...
It's been crazy trying to unpack during the holidays, some of the first things to be unpacked were the Christmas decorations. I probably have my priorities mixed up but we couldn't celebrate properly without the nativity, Rudolph, and the tree. This year we decided to make ginger bread boys to decorate the tree, it was a lot of fun! And relatively harmless if swallowed!

6 random things about me!!!

So It's been a really long time since I updated, sorry!! I was tagged by Kourtney a while back and it has taken me this long to think up six random thing about me (pretty sad, I know)! So here goes:
1- I wasn't allowed to wear shorts when I was young. As a result I don't really like them now, turns out I don't have that great of legs so no big loss!!!
2- I'm a total germ-aphobic!!! Ever since I was a CNA I am a real freak about possibly getting a germ. I eat candy out of wrappers, I don't wear my hospital shoes in the house, I bleach my kitchen often, like anytime we eat chicken or pork.
3- I grew up in the country, on a one cow farm that I milked by hand!!! I swam in the wash next to my house, and suntanned on my roof!
4- I used to have a crush on Keifer Sutherland, hahaha. I saw Lost Boys when I was very small and instead of having nightmares about vampires, I developed this crush on Keifer Sutherland and started wondering if I myself was a vampire (check out my canines, they really look like fangs) Thank goodness I grew out of this!!!
5- I'm scared of the dark. I think it comes from having a good imagination, that runs away with me a lot, and an older brother who used to sneak into my room at night to scare me. And I used to think I like scary movies, I have no idea why. I would watch one and then spend hours sitting on the kitchen floor with a large bread knife waiting for my family to come home!!
6- I cry when I watch the Tigger Movie. Which I do a lot lately (It's Teagan's favorite). Something about Pooh saying that they have nothing better to offer than the offer of being Tigger's family really chokes me up. And poor Roo spending all his time trying to help Tigger find his family, when what he really wants is for Tigger to love him, and be his big brother. It's tragic I know!!!

Well I hope you found some of that interesting, there isn't much about me people don't know, I've never been one for secrets!!! I'm going to Tag Jody Martin, and as far I can tell there's a lot of tagging going around, so most everyone has been tagged if not than I tag you who haven't been tagged as well!!!

a most unfourtunate event

So since I started working again Adam has been taking Teagan to the babysitters. Which means he is responsible for many things like getting her breakfast, getting her dressed, packing her diaper bag, and combing her hair. He does fairly well, every once in a while he forgets a binki or wipes. And he hated combing her hair. The other day I received a phone call at work from Bree (wonderful Lady, who tends Teagan) In summary she was calling to warn me that Adam had "Trimmed" Teagan's hair. I was shocked!!!! Surely, Adam knew I would kill him. I surprised myself by staying very calm. And Adam did a good job considering that he doesn't cut hair. Now he doesn't have to do pony tails. Oh and he will never go near Teagan with scissors again, not even if I am dead!!!

Happy Halloween

Teagan was a monkey for Halloween. We had so much fun dressing her up and taking her trick or treating. She was so sweet, she would knock on the door and then wait, when they would come she would hold out her pumpkin, then she would try to go inside. We put her in her squeaky shoes so it sounded like a monkey squeaking.
Teagan started talking a little in the last couple days, she can say peeka boo, mama, daddy, tigger, kitty, dog, hi, and byebye. She also signs milk, more, eat, and drink. And she blows kisses!!! I can't believe how fast she is growing, it makes me sad. She goes down the slide at the park by herself, she is so independent she almost doesn't need me at all (except the whole diaper thing)!!

Welcome Home

We have been living in our town home for almost a month. It has been so nice to be in our home again. We have been painting walls and sanding down cabinets. We cleaned the carpets and everything else, too. I put a screw in the door to hang my first ever wreath on. A very homey, fall wreath, not to flowery or to bare. After much searching, I found this at TJ Max for 24 bucks. A pretty good deal, right? We still haven't been able to go get our things out of storage in Duchesne. We are sleeping on an air mattress and Teagan is sleeping in her pack and play. We have two chairs and a card table. If we want to sit in the living room we sit on the floor. Now considering all of this, I still am grateful to be in our home!!! It is so wonderful to have our own place with our own things, even if there isn't a large number of them!!! A big thanks to our family, who let us crash at your homes while we were waiting for our renter to move out! We love you bunches!!

Brock was watching them!

At Sadie's reception I was helping in the kitchen. Adam was supposed to be watching Teagan, but he kept showing up in the kitchen. I asked Adam why he wasn't watching Teagan and he said "Brock is watching her." (Brock is my five year old nephew, totally wild!) Don't worry he watched Teagan and Hadley really good!! He made sure they both had plenty of treats and a nice place to sit.

Finally Fall

We spent Saturday in Duchesne visiting Grandma Juli and Grandpa Larry. Sadie got married so we went to the reception. On Sunday, we played in the leaves with Teagan. She liked the leaves, but she loved my mom's dog. Rowdy would come up to her and lick her hands and she would squeal and laugh. Fall is such a beautiful time of year, I just love it!! I love the smell of mom's chili sauce, the cool air, and the red and yellow leaves. I love pumpkins, hot cocoa, the crisp apples, and the feeling that the holidays are right around the corner. I love Fall!!!

Teagan Turns One!!!

When our summer in Wisconsin ended we moved back to St. George. We arrived in St. George on Teagans first birthday. Grandma Suzanne Ford had a birthday party at her home. We invited Great Grandma and Grandpa Moutrey. She opened her presents, we sang happy birthday, and then she had cake (for the first time in her life!!!) And she loved it!!!
She fed herself and probably got more cake on her face then she got in her belly.
She licked her plate clean!!! She gets that from her dad. After she finished she wanted more, she was signing and pointing, but we opted for a shower and some milk, in hopes of intercepting a bad belly.

Now that Teagan is one she has started doing chores...Adam was tending her and he walked into the kitchen and she was swiffering the floor. And yes, he did put those curlers in her hair!!! He is such a good daddy. He needed a little help after he got the hair curled but she looked great.
